Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Weaken a bolt of fastening of a pulley of the water pump.
2. Weaken a bolt of fastening of the generator.
3. Remove a pulley of the water pump and a belt.
4. Remove a pulley of a bent shaft.
5. Remove a casing of a gear belt.
6. Move a roller of a tension of a gear belt to the water pump and temporarily enshrine it in this provision.
7. Turn out a bolt of fastening of a pulley of the camshaft.
8. Remove a camshaft pulley.
9. Take off a gear belt.

Prevention

Note the direction of rotation of a gear belt for repeated installation it in initial situation.


10. Turn out a bolt of fastening of a pulley of a bent shaft. Remove a pulley of a bent shaft and the plug.
11. Shoot a video of the mechanism of a tension of a gear belt.

Check

Pulleys and roller of the mechanism of a tension of a gear belt

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Check pulleys of distributive and cranked shaft, a roller of the mechanism of a tension and a single pulley for lack of uneven wear, cracks and damages.
2. Check ease and smoothness of rotation of a roller of the mechanism of a tension and single pulley, and also lack of extraneous noise at rotation.

Gear belt

Prevention

Strongly do not bend a gear belt and do not change the direction of its rotation. Do not allow oil and lubricant to contact with a gear belt as it will lead to its destruction.


PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Check a gear belt for absence of damage, wear, stratification, cracks on teeths and in the basis of teeths, and also for defects at end faces and a reverse side of a belt.
2. With the following defects, replace a gear belt.

Description

1. Rigid return surface of a gear belt. The surface has a glossy appearance
Rigidity of a surface such is that the nail does not leave marks on a belt
2. Cracks on the return surface of a gear belt
3. Cracks or stratification of a gear belt
4. Strongly worn-out teeths
The side of tooth is worn-out, at the same time fibers, a cord and the rubber basis become visible
5. Teeths (the last stage) are strongly worn-out
The side of tooth is worn-out, at the same time attritions become visible and tooth thickness is reduced
6. Cracks in the basis of teeths
7. Lack of tooth
8. Strong wear of one party of a belt  
9. Cracks on lateral face of a gear belt  

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Install the plug, and a pulley of a bent shaft as shown in the drawing. Pay attention to the direction of their installation

Inhaling moment: 140–150 N • m

2. Establish a pulley of the camshaft and fix by a bolt, having tightened it the required moment.

Inhaling moment: 80–100 N • m
3. Establish the directing roller and fix by a bolt, having tightened it the required moment.

Inhaling moment: 43–55 N • m
4. Combine adjusting tags on pulleys of distributive and cranked shaft with indexes, at the same time the piston of the first cylinder has to be installed in VMT in a compression step.
5. At installation of the mechanism of a tension of a gear belt first of all install the tension mechanism, a spring and the expansion plug. Temporarily tighten bolts. Then, temporarily squeeze the tension mechanism, having inserted a bolt into the extended opening. Establish the back end of a flat spring opposite to a forward cover, as shown in the drawing.
6. Fix the tension mechanism which is taken away to the water pump.
7. Establish a gear belt on a pulley of a bent shaft.
8. Establish a gear belt on a camshaft pulley, at the same time be convinced that its sagging from a tension is excluded.
9. Weaken bolts 1 and 2 fastenings of the mechanism of a tension in the sequence shown in the drawing, at the same time the spring of the mechanism of a tension of a gear belt will be unclenched.
10. Tighten bolts 1 and 2 fastenings of the mechanism of a tension in the same order.
11. Turn clockwise a bent shaft of the engine on two whole revolutions and combine a tag on a pulley of a gear belt of a bent shaft with the index on the block of cylinders of the engine. Check that the tag on a pulley of the camshaft was combined with the index on a cover of a head of cylinders.

Prevention

Do not turn a bent shaft of the engine counterclockwise.


12. In the same order weaken bolts 1 and 2 fastenings of the mechanism of a tension of a gear belt.
13. Tighten bolts 1 and 2 fastenings of the mechanism of a tension in the same order.

Inhaling moment: 20–27 N • m

14. Repeatedly check a tension of a gear belt. When pressing the tense branch of a gear belt by effort of 49 N the gear belt has to cave in to the center of a head of a bolt of fastening of the mechanism of a tension.
15. Establish casings of a gear belt.

Inhaling moment: 8–10 N • m
16. Establish a pulley of a bent shaft.

Inhaling moment: 140–150 N • m

17. Establish poliklinovy a belt of the drive of the fan and adjust its tension.
18. Establish a pulley of the water pump.
19. Establish poliklinovy a belt and adjust its tension.
